Pedestrian areas

Markup element Area is used to graphically define the following things in pedestrian dynamics models:

Represents an area defining rules and/or restrictions on ped speed. Allows to modify pedestrians speed and define maximum speed. 

Also area allows defining “moving ground” and its speed and direction (use this feature to simulate escalators and moving lines).

In all these cases you first draw the area in the graphical area, then add the Pedestrian Library block PedAreaDescriptor and configure it by enabling the corresponding parameters.

There are two markup elements in Anylogic:

Use Polygonal area when your area has complex form. If your area is rectangular, use Rectangular area instead.
