Text - Text shape enables you to put labels with some comments or descriptions on presentation diagram.
Image - Image shape enables users to add images in presentations. Image can be loaded from image file of any format (.png, .jpg, .gif, .bmp, etc).
Canvas - Canvas represents a rectangular area, within which you can draw by means of coding. The shapes you draw on the canvas can form either static or dynamic picture (if drawn and modified at model runtime). This feature allows you to use the canvas element for creating heatmaps (analogous to the AnyLogic's density map). Another typical use of AnyLogic canvas is animation of the spatial distribution (e.g. epidemy, pollution, housing).
Group - Group is used to group presentation shapes so that you can control them (move, rotate, resize, etc.) all at once by controlling the group. Groups can be also used to shift the coordinate system for a part of a presentation.
View Area - View area allows you to mark out some particular areas on the presentation diagram, containing some logically detached groups of elements or parts of the diagram. Once defined such view areas, you can easily switch between them either at the model designtime and runtime.
The 3D section of this palette contains a set of elements (3D window, camera, light) required to construct 3D animation scene:
3D Window - 3D window plays the role of a spaceholder for 3D animation. It defines the area on the presentation diagram where 3D animation will be shown at runtime. If you want 3D animation displayed for your agent, you should necessarily add 3D window onto its diagram.
3D Object - 3D Object
to import ready-to-use 3D objects created in some third-party
graphics packets into their models.
3D object supports import of 3D objects stored in X3D and VRML files. X3D format is the XML-based file format for representing 3D computer graphics, the successor to the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML).
- Camera defines
the part of the
presentation that will be shown in 3D window. It "shoots" the picture
animation window (analog
display on operator's console).
If you want some particular presentation shapes to be shown in 3D window on model startup, we recommend you to define the onlooker's location (and his eye direction) once using the camera, rather than to navigate to the required shapes on each model run.
Light - Light element enables users to add sources of light for their 3D animations. By default 3D animation scene is already lighted up by two default sources of light that are created automatically. Therefore even if you have not added any sources of light using Light element, all your 3D objects are visible anyway. If the default AnyLogic lighting is OK for you, we recommend you not to add your own sources of light. Otherwise the default light sources will be removed and the whole scene lighting will be managed by your own.The Professional section of this palette contains elements that are available in anyLogic Professional edition only:
CAD Drawing - CAD drawing enables users to import CAD drawings (in DXF format) into their presentations. You may need this in the case your model concerns a movement of objects (agents, pedestrians, etc.) in a certain physical space defined using a CAD drawing.
